This Week’s General Astrology Forecast
It’s a complex astrological week filled with promise and golden opportunities.
However, diplomacy and mature negotiations may be called for to realize the promise of this week.
The week starts off with Venus entering Cancer Sextile Uranus in Taurus. There may be a welcomed and surprising opportunity that suddenly comes to you. Venus and Uranus are bringing you a sense of expansion and freedom in your home space. Over the next few weeks you’ll enjoy staying home more and nurturing yourself with things like, delicious meals, intimate moments with loved ones and home spa time. Venus transits Cancer until June 12th when she enters the sign of Leo.
BEST MONEY DAY this week is the 22nd.
Best Money Days are days when the collective celestial events bring greater than usual opportunities. This may not translate into direct and immediate cash in your pocket, but potential for increase in your future prospects. Of course when these days are talking harmoniously with your personal stars the increase multiplies exponentially.

All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. You may actually feel the energies several hours or even days or weeks (in the case of eclipses) before the Celestial Peak, Crest of the Wave, so to speak. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial event more strongly.
On May 19th – Venus enters Cancer. Your fondest pleasures will be in your home now, or maybe working on a home business venture. Opportunities for expansion in your home base may suddenly come. Look to what house Cancer is located in your natal chart, then check the Meaning of the 12 Houses (below) to find out what area of your life is being affected by the love planet. Venus enjoys bringing you pleasures of your heart in this area now. Cancer rules the 4th house, so check that house, too.
On May 19th – Venus at 0º Cancer Sextiles Uranus in Taurus. Bringing you unexpected opportunity. The energies at play are predominantly feminine. Uranus serves to free you in some way. Your intuition and natural instincts can be greatly heightened now. Could be just a fabulous day for mingling with close ones at home. Though with Venus ruler of Taurus (2nd house) it has a feel of your personal money and material circumstances getting a boost.
On May 20th – Sun enters Gemini until the Summer Solstice on June 21st. You’ll be more social during this time and feel more inclined to put energy into building your networks. It’s a great time for giving a talk, or presentation of some sort. Your public persona shines. There’s a whole lot of talk-talk-talk going on. Much of it may be gossip, hype and spin with no substance. People tend to be more superficial when the Sun is in Gemini and with the Sun’s Trine to Mars on May 23rd there’s lots of hot air being expounded.
On May 21st – We have the 1º 02’ First Quarter Moon in Virgo. As the Moon waxes to full you have an opportunity at the First Quarter Moon to divest yourself of any baggage that’s weighing heavy on you. Resistance and attachment are definite signs that you’re carrying some kind of psychological or emotional burden that needs to be released. Virgo is the original healer. Her healing influence helps you to let go. Perform a ritual of releasing like Ho’oponopono if you need. The Virgo Moon is exactly Trine to Uranus which will help you to break free of any burdens.
On May 22nd – Mercury at 16º Taurus Sextile Neptune in Pisces and Opposite Jupiter in Scorpio which means Jupiter is Trine to Neptune. This is a magical and very lucky combination of celestial forces.
Additionally, the Virgo Moon is making a Grand Earth Trine to Mercury in Taurus and Saturn in Capricorn. The Virgo Moon is also Sextile to Jupiter in Scorpio and Venus in Cancer and Opposite Neptune. This is a day rich with fortunate opportunities. Be open to making lucky connections that help you realize your dreams. Let go of any resistance or concerns that surface about what’s showing up for you. Trust your intuition to guide you.
On May 23rd – Sun at 3º Gemini Trines Mars in Aquarius. A great aspect between planets that boost your ability to persuade and communicate effectively to get what you want. Great for closing the deal! Your communications can be quite assertive, bordering on aggressive now. Or you could feel tremendous inner pressure to succeed at something. Since Aquarius rules community and friendship this can also be a great aspect for a party or social gathering.
On May 25th – There can be extreme tension and a feeling of strife today, but it’s also a day filled with golden promise if you’re mature enough to handle any pressure.
Jupiter Rx at 16º 19’ Scorpio perfects his exact Trine to Neptune. There’s not another luckier planetary combination than these two planets. Jupiter’s Rx helps open up possibilities for you to realize your dreams. This is the second Trine between Jupiter and Neptune. The conclusion of what’s transpiring now happens on August 19th.
Looking ahead forecast: On August 19th the pair Trine for a final time. The day after Mercury Stations Direct at 12º Leo. This is a magical combination of energies. Mercury the trickster, Neptune the planet of illusions and Jupiter the planet that expands whatever it touches. Looks like things really get the green light for moving forward. There’s potential for dreams to be realized. There may have been many surprising twists and turns to make it to this point in time.
Mercury at 21º Taurus Trine Pluto in Capricorn. Again there’s power and a bit of magic at play lining things up for you on this day.
Venus at 8º Cancer Opposite Saturn in Capricorn. Oppositions often show up as a power struggle with someone on the material 3D level. Though Oppositions can also represent a struggle you’re experiencing within yourself. This struggle or opposition is between something you love that brings you pleasure and having the structure and foundation necessary to experience it. The two opposites have to find common ground. A need to negotiate differences and discover what’s workable and what needs to be released. Diplomacy and a willingness to negotiate is called for. Just remember this day is ripe with opportunity to realize something you’ve been working towards, so be mature and negotiate differences. It’s all for the good!
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
Void of Course Moon periods are great for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.
