This Week’s General Astrology Forecast
We start the week off with the Solar Eclipse New Moon in Capricorn.
The Moon is making auspicious contacts. Uranus is Station Direct adding tremendous oomph to today’s Solar Eclipse for an incredible new beginning.
Especially the area of your life where Capricorn is located in your chart is highlighted for change.
The changes ushered in by the Eclipses will play out for the next six months.

All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. You may actually feel the energies several hours or even days or weeks (in the case of eclipses) before the Celestial Peak, Crest of the Wave, so to speak. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial event more strongly.
January 5th – We have the first Solar New Moon Eclipse of 2019 at 15° 25’ Capricorn. Mercury has just entered Capricorn which adds potency to the Capricorn energies playing out. The Capricorn Solar Eclipse is Conjunct Saturn and Pluto (a little wide but within orb) and Sextile to Neptune in Pisces. Uranus is Station Direct.
There’s power, strength and stability with this New Moon Solar Eclipse. What happens now has long standing merit over the long haul. There are opportunities for dreams to be realized in this area of your life. Uranus Station will release anything that may hold you back.
January 6th – Uranus at 29° Aries Stations Direct, exact at 12:26pm PT. Uranus Station Direct can help you make any adjustments needed to make the most of what’s occurring now. Uranus has been cutting away lower energies that prevent our working together as one humanity. This is his final venture in Aries for another 84 years. Uranus shakes things up, so that change happens to help us evolve and transcend the old order of things.
January 7th – Venus enters Sagittarius, exact at 3:19am PT. Venus transits Sagittarius for about 4 weeks until February 3rd when she slips into Capricorn. Venus enjoys being in Sagittarius. Her airy Libran sense of justice and balance fans the flames of Sagittarius and expands here. Your Sagittarian house can feel especially prosperous for you now. Venus brings you love, luck and money in this area of your life. Enjoy!
January 8th – Mercury at 6° Capricorn Squares Mars in Aries. There’s an adjustment that may be needed between your head for business (Mercury in Capricorn) and might makes right (Mars in Aries). You may have a chance to strike a better balance between hard work and effort, and working smarter.
January 11th – The Sun Conjuncts Pluto at 21° Capricorn. There’s power and stability with this contact. The Sun and Pluto are Sextile the Moon in Pisces today. Your emotional body gets a significant charge/boost from these contacts.
Mercury Retrograde 2019 Dates
- March 5th Mercury Stations Retrograde at 29° 36’ Pisces (water sign).
- March 28th, Mercury Stations Direct at 16° 6’ Pisces (water sign).
- July 7th Mercury Stations Retrograde at 4° 25’ Leo (fire sign).
- July 31st, Mercury Stations Direct at 23° 57’ Cancer (water sign).
- October 31st Mercury Stations Retrograde at 27° 37’ Scorpio (water sign).
- November 20th Mercury Stations Direct at 11º 38’ Scorpio (water sign).
In 2019 Mercury Retrograde occurs primarily in water signs.

January 20th, exact at 9:16pm PT – 0° 52′ Leo Supermoon Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.
July 2nd, exact at 12:16pm PT – 10° 38′ Cancer New Moon Solar Eclipse.
July 16th, exact at 2:38pm PT – 24° 4′ Capricorn Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.
December 25th, exact at 9:13pm PT – 4° 7′ Capricorn New Moon Solar Eclipse.

2019 Supermoon and Blue Moon Dates
January 20th, exact at 9:16pm PT – 0° 52′ Leo Supermoon Full Moon Lunar Eclipse.
February 19th, exact at 7:54am PT – 0° 42′ Virgo Supermoon Full Moon.
May 18th, exact 2:11pm PT – 27° 39′ Scorpio Blue Moon Full Moon (If a season has four full moons, then the third full moon may be called a Blue Moon, according to the old Maine Farmer’s Almanac).
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
Void of Course Moon periods are great for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.
For your New and Full Moon Rituals make sure the Moon is not Void of Course and in aspect to another celestial body when doing your ritual for best results.
