The week starts off with the Sun entering the sign of Leo (its ruler). The ongoing intense Squares, Oppositions, T-Squares and Grand Cross Patterns activated repeatedly by your personal planets since the spring is now past! Venus will make a few tense aspects with Saturn, Pluto and Uranus as she completes her transit of Gemini and Cancer in July and August, but otherwise the skies look calm and very tame by comparison to what we’ve been experiencing this spring.
Look in your natal chart to find out what house the 0º Leo New Moon on July 23rd is located to get insights about the fresh new starts are happening. We will have a second Leo New Moon in August at 28º this one is a Solar Eclipse and emphasizes the birth of new creative self expression. The double activation coupled with a Solar Eclipse emphasizes a powerful new beginning in Leo. All dates are at exact peak of intensity when energies begin to culminate and wane. If you have personal planets or points within 1-2º orb of an aspect that’s occurring between planets then you will feel that celestial even more strongly.
On July 22nd the Sun enters the sign of Leo at 8:16am PT. The Sun loves being in its own sign. This can feel like you’re coming home to yourself. You radiate natural charm. You’ll especially feel Sun’s transit through Leo if any of your personal planets or points are in Leo. Your focus will be on Leonine interests like fun, romance, children, adventure, investments, money.
The Sun will be making some great contacts with other planets while transiting through Leo like a conjunction with Mars on the 26th, as well as a Sextile to Jupiter and a Trine to Uranus.
On July 24th Venus at 21º Gemini Opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. Oppositions n feel like power struggles and often something we’ve disowned within ourselves (shadow elements we’ve suppressed) are reflected back to us through an adversary who has the behavior we’ve disowned within ourselves.
It’s a great opportunity to see what’s usually hidden about yourself clearly revealed. It can also be an opportunity for you to own your power. There may be boundary issues that surface you are challenged to confront and deal with in a mature manner.
Venus represents a personal love interest, or something you are fond of and brings you pleasure being confronted or resisted by an external authority figure (Saturn).
On July 24th Mercury at 28º Leo is Trine to Uranus in Aries. Communications that free your mind and help you break free of restrictions imposed upon you from outside or from within.
Today’s celestial energies provide you with a perfect opportunity to face any challenges and break free of self imposed limitations.
Mercury enters its Shadow Retrograde today. Notice what events arise now as this may be a recurring theme that comes up for resolution. Mercury Retrograde brings opportunity to review your way of communicating for an upgrade. You may become aware of mental attitudes that need to be overhauled.
On July 25th Mercury enters the sign of Virgo until September 10th. Mercury will Station Retrograde at 11º Virgo on August 12th exact at 6:01pm PT.
On July 26th the Sun Conjuncts Mars at 4º Leo. Mars strengthens the Sun’s naturally radiant life force and physical presence. The pair have been within orb of conjunction since the Capricorn Full on July 8th. They will remain within orb of conjunction until the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 15º Aquarius.
VOID OF COURSE MOON PERIODS
The moon represents your emotional needs. Your emotions fluctuate with the moon as it moves through its 28-day cycle around the zodiac from new moon to full and back to new. Notice how the moon’s placement in the zodiac affects your mood and emotions. Essential oils can help stabilize your mind and emotions. Generally earthy scents have the most harmonizing and stabilizing effects on the emotions.
These are great periods for taking it easy and going with the flow of events and completing projects. During Void of Course Moons your emotional body is going through a period of processing and integrating your recent experiences. You naturally clear out your emotions during these periods. Doing things that helps with this natural process are especially helpful now, i.e. relaxation, yoga, movement, hot baths with sea salts and essential oils, focused breathing.
Void of Course Moon Phases are not good for starting new projects, or launching new ventures, or having meetings (if you want to achieve anything), or signing contracts and making agreements as it’s less likely anything will come of any agreement, or it will be sluggish and slow to start.
