Balancing Your 3rd Chakra: The Manipura Chakra (Solar Plexus) is located just above your navel. From Sanskrit Manipura can be translated as “City of Jewels or Palace of Jewels.” Here prana has the power of fire and transformation. The idea of I is born and you see yourself flower as separate from other beings.

This is your vital life force energy for empowerment and self esteem, and the throne of the Green Dragon of your personality and ego drive. Its nature is the strong emotional desire for power. Your personal power to direct your spirit for self mastery and individuation, and the ability to surrender your personal will to Divine Will for realizing your highest potential.

When your 3rd chakra is balanced you trust yourself and take full responsibility for your life. You feel a strong sense of self worth and positive self value.

Recite this same chakra balancing mantra silently six times within yourself as you continue to focus your awareness at your Manipura Chakra. Remember to inhale and exhale fully as you recite the mantra.


This posture massages all the internal organs related to the third chakra, and is for developing a balanced sense of personal power. The Pit Pose is one of the best exercises for releasing overall body tension.

Lay on your stomach. Put your fists or hands (one on top of another) on your Solar Plexus. Begin breathing long and deep.
Press down toward your navel and your breathing will internally massage your abdominal area.

After one minute, relax with your hands by your side.


This exercise flexes the spine in both directions. It works on the third chakra, and also affects the fourth chakra. This is an excellent exercise for emotional balancing.

1. Sit on your heels with your hands on your knees. Slump down to curve your back.

2. Inhale, arch you back, and stretch your chest up and out.

3. Exhale as you slump down. Continue for one minute.

CHAKRA MASSAGE™ – Gateway Holding Point located just above your navel, below the xiphoid process (hold for 1-3 minutes). Then with light touch, using your right middle finger, make a circular movement in a counter clockwise direction to activate clearing and cleansing release for your Manipura chakra. Remember to breathe pranic, rainbow light energy into the chakra for 1-3 minutes.

Chakra Meditation – Sound the Seed Syllable RA (Keynote E) while continuing to focus your awareness at your Manipura Chakra for five minutes.

Clear and Balance your 3rd chakra (4 minutes duration) by allowing images to naturally surface and melt away as blockages are cleared and balance restored in your Manipura Chakra.

Conclude (1 minute duration) your visualization and recitation of the Seed Syllable RA by seeing your Manipura Chakra as a clear and vibrant whirling ball of Brilliant EMERALD GREEN Colored light pulsing with energy at this center.

CHAKRA MASSAGE™ – With light touch, using your right middle finger, make a circular movement clockwise to charge, stimulate, and activate your Manipura chakra.

Remember to inhale fully and exhale as you visualize your 3rd Chakra being clear, vibrantly alive and healthy.
