A friend of KG's wanted to try using a treatment with pure essential oils for a Bartholin’s gland cyst. So KG formulated the Bartholin's Cyst formula for her to try!

What is a Bartholin's gland?
The Bartholin's gland is a tiny organ on each of the labia minora (vaginal lips) just outside the opening to the vagina. If the vagina were the face of a clock, the Bartholin glands would be found at about 4 and 8 o'clock. Normally they are so tiny that they are invisible. During sexual arousal the Bartholin’s gland releases a lubricating fluid. A Barholin’s gland cyst develops when the gland becomes blocked. The gland can become blocked for a variety of reasons, such as an infection, inflammation, long term irritation, or poor circulation. When blockage occurs a round swelling called a cyst forms that can grow to the size of an orange, though most only get as large as the size of a golf ball. Cysts can become tender though not always.

KG made a blend of pure essential oils for my friend to try in a Sitz bath.

DIRECTIONS: Here are the general guidelines which KG gave her friend for using the Bartholin Cyst Formula. Use 3-4 drops Bartholin’s Gland Formula in a carrier of Epson salts (1/2 cup) added to a Sitz bath. Soak for 10-15 minutes, once a day. If you don't notice a change in the cyst or symptoms of discomfort within a few hours after your soak you may repeat.

A hemostat and a decongestant Cypress essential oil has the most powerful astringent action in aromatherapy.
