Bartholin Gland Cyst Treatment with Essential Oils

What is a Bartholin's gland?
The Bartholin's gland is a tiny organ on each of the labia minora (vaginal lips) just outside the opening to the vagina. If the vagina were the face of a clock, the Bartholin glands would be found at about 4 and 8 o'clock. Normally they are so tiny that they are invisible. During sexual arousal the Bartholin's gland releases a lubricating fluid. A Barholin's gland cyst develops when the gland becomes blocked. The gland can become blocked for a variety of reasons, such as an infection, inflammation, long term irritation, or poor circulation. When blockage occurs a round swelling called a cyst forms that can grow to the size of an orange, though most only get as large as the size of a golf ball. Cysts can become tender though not always.

I made a blend of pure essential oils for my friend to try in a Seitz bath.

Bartholin Gland Essential Oil Formula:
Cypress (astringent to increase circulation and assist drainage)
Juniperberry (detoxifier)
Lavender, High Altitude (anti-inflammatory)

Preparation:
To a 15ml bottle add 1 part each of Cypress and Juniperberry, and 50 drops of Lavender. Cap bottle and shake well to blend.

Directions for use:
Add 3-4 drops Bartholin's Gland EO formula in a carrier of Epson salts (1/2 cup) added to a Seitz bath. Soak for 10-15 minutes, once a day. If you don't notice a change in the cyst or symptoms of discomfort within a few hours after your soak you may repeat.

What to expect:
I asked my friend to please let me know how things went over the next few days. She wrote back letting me know that the gland started draining with 24 hours after beginning treatment, and was nearly back to normal within 2 days. It was very simple for her to treat, she told me. Here was the treatment regimen and the results she reported to me:

"I sat for 15 minutes in a hot Seitz bath 3x per day for 3 days with the essential oils and Epson salts. I also mixed the essential oil combo with light coconut oil and applied to the cyst after bathing. The marble-sized cyst reduced in size and went away permanently." Chris
